Join us for our November CE/CFP Meeting for back-to-back sessions for two hours of CE on November 13th, focusing on opportunities to help clients with their Long Term Care planning.
"Demographic and Societal Trends Affecting Aging" will be a great program for advisors who would like to learn more about trends in aging and how that will affect their clients long term care and financial needs. Mark George is the owner of ISSUE Insurance Agency and his session's goal will be to raise awareness of attendees for what their clients will face as it relates to aging. Most clients are unaware of the potential challenges they will face as they age. Compared to past generations, today’s clients are living longer, have a greater likelihood of needing care, will need that care longer, the cost of their care will be significantly higher, and are likely to have a more difficult time finding quality care. We can help them be better prepared for this possibility.
"The New Wealth Transfer" will be terrific for advisors who want to learn more about trends in wealth and health in America, how they can affect estate planning for the mass affluent and how LTC planning can enhance the estate tax plans of high-net-worth clients. Matt Redick is the RVP for the Upper Midwest BGA Territory. Matt joined Nationwide in 2005 and was recognized as their Sales Associate of the Year in 2020. Matt's session will review the breakdown of wealth in America, , identifying methods for customizing a long-term-care approach based on your client’s wealth. We will discuss various long-term care solutions for mass affluent clients (net worth between $100,000-$5,000,000) and high-net-worth clients ($5,000,000+) as a result of the increasing possibility of needing long-term care to allow clients to be able to pass down their wealth.
Both courses have been approved by the Ohio Department of Insurance for 1 hour of CE each and 1 hour of CFP credit each.

The following credit hour is being offered:
Course: Estate & Legacy Planning Webinar (1.0 hour of General CE Credit)
ODI Course ID: 70270; Instructor: Attorney Elliott Feldman (Elliott Feldman Law Group)
This course teaches you how to keep your family out of court and conflict should something happen to you.
Date: Tues, August 13, 2024
Location: Live Webinar (Online)
Time: 12:00pm-1:00pm EST
(No Exam Required At The End)
More about Estate Planning Attorney Elliott Feldman and his law firm:
Elliott Feldman became an estate planning attorney as a consequence of being in the exact position that you never want your family to be in.
When Elliott was just 7 years old, his father passed away unexpectedly at the age of 47. Even though his dad, years prior, went to one of the top firms in town to get his estate plan in place, Elliott’s mom –– STILL –– had to go through almost 3 years in probate court and had to pay her probate attorney $55,000 by the end of it!
Looking back, Elliott always thought this was Malpractice.
Turns out –– it’s COMMON PRACTICE!
This is because the traditional estate planning industry creates estate plans based on an outdated methodology that pushes all clients into the same dirty, templated plan, which is destined to fail when the client’s loved ones need it most.
When Elliott became an estate planning attorney, he made a commitment to never let his clients suffer what he and his mom suffered by creating estate plans that would ACTUALLY WORK when his clients’ families would need it most by keeping the family out of court and out of conflict should something happen.
That's why Elliott is hosting this live 1-hour CE webinar for NAIFA Ohio Insurance Members at No Charge!

This program has been filed with the Ohio Department of Insurance for 1 CE.
It has become more common in estate planning to name a family member or other personal advisor as Successor Trustee of Revocable Living Trusts. In some cases, this is the most economical, efficient, and practical choice. But with changes on the horizon related to estate, gift, and generation skipping transfer taxes, as well as cultural and societal shifts, utilizing a corporate trustee can provide an unbiased, one-stop administrator of complex trusts that can save time, avoid duplicative expenses, ensure adherence to both the trust and internal revenue codes, and extinguish future liability as funds are distributed to the beneficiaries. A corporate trustee provides professional management and peace of mind knowing that the burden of trust administration will not be laid upon family members.

With federal student loan repayment around the corner, GradFin is here to help take a deeper dive into student loan options. Join NAIFA-Ohio on June 13th from 12:00 - 1:00 pm for a webinar event: 1031 Exchange: What You Need to Know! presented by Greg Smith, Esq.
This course will teach both basic and higher level 1031 exchange concepts to the attendee. This tax-deferral strategy has been part of the tax code for over 100 years. Learn what is like kind property in an exchange, the various taxes that can apply to real estate sales, the exchange time limits, the property ID rules, and much more.
This course will benefit Insurance & Financial Advisors by adding to their knowledge about an important product for their clients: the Delaware Statutory Trust. The DST has enjoyed popularity as a product that fits the needs of exchangers who want to get away from the active management of their real estate without paying all of the state and federal taxes upon the sale of their previous holdings. A basic understanding of the 1031 exchange rules and the DST option is one more potential product to best serve investors.
This course has been approved for 1 hour General CE Credit.
In order to receive CE credit, attendee must participate in random polling questions throughout the presentation. Failing to do so will forfeit the ability to earn CE.
No cost to Members to register for this event

Join us May 16th from 12:00 - 1:00 pm for this great event.
