Earlier this year, NAIFA-Cincinnati leadership was approached about an exciting opportunity to help partner with Xavier University to help prepare the next generation of Financial Professionals. This Fall, Xavier University will launch their newest graduate business degree: The Master of Science in Finance.

The program is the culmination of decades of expertise from XU’s nationally ranked Department of Finance. Their faculty have designed curriculum that meets the demands of an increasingly complex and evolving global economy. NAIFA-Cincinnati leadership met with XU leaders to discuss what their support could look like in aiding the students enrolling in the program. Opportunities to support student advancement included a member panel discussion, opportunities to join a lecture presentation, shadow-programs, helping students identify job opportunities and potential internship placements, and the opportunity to gain professional exposure through NAIFA’s Student Membership status.

With this being the first year of the program, it is exciting to see how this opportunity to work together will play out in the coming months, and years! If you have an existing relationship with a student who will be enrolling at Xavier for their new Master of Science in Finance program, please let them know about NAIFA and the opportunity to join as a Student Member. In fact, any student you know who is enrolling in a Financial Services field at any College or University has the same opportunity to join NAIFA as a Student Member!
